By accessing or using magicscribe Profile Analysis ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Service Description

magicscribe Profile Analysis is a browser extension that:

  • Analyzes publicly visible LinkedIn profile data with your explicit consent
  • Provides AI-powered insights on content themes and engagement
  • Offers recommendations to improve your LinkedIn presence
  • FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY - Not for competitive analysis or commercial purposes

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the Service to:

  • ✅ Analyze your own LinkedIn profile and posts
  • ✅ Gain insights into your content performance
  • ✅ Receive recommendations for content improvement
  • ✅ Track your engagement metrics over time

3.2 Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use the Service to:

  • ❌ Analyze profiles of competitors or other individuals without authorization
  • ❌ Collect data for marketing, targeting, or profiling purposes
  • ❌ Scrape, crawl, or bulk extract LinkedIn data
  • ❌ Circumvent rate limits or abuse detection mechanisms
  • ❌ Share, sell, or distribute analyzed data to third parties
  • ❌ Use the Service for any automated or bot-like behavior
  • ❌ Violate LinkedIn's Terms of Service or User Agreement

4. LinkedIn Compliance

4.1 LinkedIn Terms of Service

By using this Service, you acknowledge that:

  • You must comply with LinkedIn's Terms of Service and User Agreement
  • This Service is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn
  • You are solely responsible for your use of the Service
  • Any violation of LinkedIn's Terms may result in account suspension

  • 30-Day Retention: All data is automatically deleted after 30 days
  • User Control: You can delete your data at any time

5. Rate Limits & Fair Use

5.1 Usage Limits

To comply with LinkedIn's policies and prevent abuse:

  • Hourly Limit: Maximum 5 profile analyses per hour
  • Daily Limit: Maximum 20 profile analyses per day
  • Purpose: Personal content improvement only

5.2 Abuse Prevention

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend accounts exhibiting bot-like behavior
  • Terminate accounts violating these Terms
  • Report abuse to LinkedIn if necessary

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Service Ownership

magicscribe owns all rights to:

  • The browser extension and software
  • AI models and analysis algorithms
  • Service design, interface, and features

6.2 User Data

You retain ownership of:

  • Your LinkedIn profile data
  • Your content and posts
  • Any insights generated from your data

7. Privacy & Data Protection

8.2 LinkedIn Changes

We are not responsible for:

  • LinkedIn account suspensions or bans
  • LinkedIn's enforcement of their Terms of Service

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, magicscribe's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be:

  • Posted on this page with updated "Last Updated" date
  • Notified via email for material changes
  • Effective immediately upon posting

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

  • Deleting all your data via the extension
  • Requesting account deletion via support@magicscribe.app

11.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate your account immediately if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in prohibited activities
  • Required by law or LinkedIn

12. Payments & Refunds

12.1 Subscription Plans

magicscribe offers paid subscription plans processed securely through Paddle, our authorized reseller and payment processor. By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and billing terms displayed at checkout.

12.2 Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase by contacting us at support@magicscribe.app. No questions asked.

Refunds are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and payment processor, and are typically returned to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.

12.3 Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing and you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.

12.4 Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank before contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account while the dispute is resolved. Please contact support@magicscribe.app first — we are happy to resolve any billing issues promptly.
